It is used to say tha something tends to be similar to something else.
You can use in verb and adjective. -(으)ㄴ 편이다.
먹다 : 먹는 편이다. (verb)
보다 : 보는 편이다. (verb)
작다 : 작은 편이다. (adjective)
크다 : 큰 편이다. (adjective)
* Example Sentence
1. 서비스가 좋은 편이네요.
This service tends to be good.
2. 그는 고기보다 야채를 주로 먹는 편이다.
He tends to eat vegetable, not meat.
3. 그는 키가 친구들보다 작은 편이다.
He tends to be short compared to his friends.
