A : 책상 위에 뭐가 있어요?

B : 책상 위에 달력이 있어요.

A : 의자 옆에 뭐가 있어요?

B : 책장하고 책이 있어요.

A : 창문은 어디에 있어요?

B : 책상 앞에 창문이 있어요.

있다   to be there

1. -에 있다/없다.

'-에 있다' is a combination of the place particle '-에' and the verb '있다(to exist)/없다(not to exist)'.

We use this pattern when talking about the existence or non-existence of something or someone.

2. -하고

'-하고' is a particle linking two or more nouns just like 'and' in English.

Example)

공원에는 벤치하고 나무가 있다.

: There are a bench and a tree in a park
